All The Wrong Shelves (Without Filter Book 2) Kindle Edition
They’re unexpected roommates, unlikely friends and maybe something more — something real.
Zander is making the right decisions to fight the indifference that has shaped his life. When one of those decisions leaves him temporarily homeless, he never expected to gain a new friend.
Nessa is real, she’s honest, and she believes in him. Zander longs to be authentic. He’s been pretending, playing a part, for as long as he can remember.
But Nessa is pretending, too. Pretending she isn’t exhausted, that the world isn’t too loud, and that she doesn’t have a book full of notes that might explain why she’s always been a little different.
As she's learning to trust herself, she might even realise that she doesn't need to hide who she is.
All The Wrong Shelves can be read as a standalone. It’s book two in The Without Filter Series.
All The Wrong Shelves is a low-angst, slow burn, slightly forbidden (brother’s best friend), new adult romance, and it takes place in Copenhagen. It’s an own-voices story with a heroine who realises she's autistic, written by an autistic author.
This book is not suitable for readers under 18 due to adult language and situations.

I loved them so much from start to finish. I felt every single word in my soul as I dived into their wonderful stories. Even with all the baggage and heavy past both of them had on their shoulders, the way they navigated their attraction and obvious chemistry was so beautiful that led them to have a very healthy relationship. I loved their acceptance and understanding for each other's pasts and personal conflicts and how their love grew so naturally as they allowed themselves to be vulnerable and show their real selves. Both characters were developed amazingly through the pages and their sweet dialogue and funny banter made me smile and swoon! ★★★★★Chula.is.reading.romance
Amazing! This book swallowed me up whole and didn't want to let go.
Nessa and Zander are such amazing characters and are each other missing piece. It was so fascinating reading from Nessas POV and watching her struggle with her understanding of why she reacts and feels the way she does. It was a beautiful story of love, friendship and acceptance and I can't wait to see what comes next. ★★★★★Susanne Scott, ARC reader.
Zander & Nessa are both trying to conquer their own personal battles & doing all right on their own but once they are together they become invincible. This was a heartwarming & enduring story about finding yourself and being okay with not being the version that is expected. ★★★★★ Colleen Young, author of A Broken Kind of Love.
Blaedel has shown such growth in this installment of her Without Filter series, and the characters are incredibly relatable and fantastically written. The romance is sweet and spicy, and believable.★★★★★ Britt Laux, author of Summer at Enid's.
All The Wrong Shelves is such a heartfelt novel in a world that feels completely and utterly real. It is so wonderfully written and the characters spring to life on the pages, and I don`t think it`s possible not to fall in love with this story. ★★★★★Quelly, ARC reader.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 27, 2021All The Wrong Shelves (Without Filter Series) brings us back to beautiful Denmark. Nessa has always been different. She is brilliant but struggles socially. She has to hide her true self to appear "normal" to the outside world. Zander is trying to set his life back on track...he’s back in school and trying to not hide behind the perfect façade he has in the past. They strike up a friendship when Nessa offers her couch to Zander to help him out. From there, an unlikely friendship turns into an amazing love story. They accept each other completely. Zander is delicate with Nessa and what she needs. Nessa sees the real Zander and her brutal honesty forces Zander to start being honest to himself. They balance each other out, they support each other and they protect each other.
Nessa also has her own journey to being diagnosed with autism as a young adult. While this isn’t a story about autism, I enjoyed this part of the story. I loved how this story was written because it wasn't "wow, she has autism and found love"...it was more "she found love and oh yeah, she has autism". It was part of her story but not her entire story.
This story is just written so beautifully. From the descriptions of Denmark, the food, clothing, people...I was transported to a place I've never been. I can hear Nessa's tree in the wind. I can feel Nessa's anxiety in certain situations. I could see Zanders smile. I close my eyes and see it all clearly.
All The Wrong Shelves is a sophisticated YA romance so it will appeal to YA romances readers of all ages. I loved that it was an Own Voices story and brought in the author's own story about being diagnosed with autism as an adult. I learned so much from this story that I didn't know I needed to learn. This story is unique, inspiring, beautiful and emotional. I'm just in awe of this book and I can't wait to read more words from this author.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 18, 2021I have never had the pleasure of reading a romance set in Denmark but hope to read more after this one. Matter of fact I read this second book in the series first and am now starting the first one. This novel was a joy to read it did not have the normal cliche angst or drama most romance books have now days. I'll be waiting for this authors next book to be released...Happy reading : )
- Reviewed in the United States on August 26, 2021I loved Chasing Pebbles and was excited to dive into this one. The romance is a perfect slow burn. The character development is relatable and heart wrenching. I rooted for the couple from the beginning and I loved the HEA!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2021This is a five star story, and I SO wanted to give it five stars, but it does not have five star proofreading. A couple of verb tense errors, and a couple of missing prepositions, along with Zander being referred to as Zanders, and most caustically, saying, 'as her and Celeste let out...' when it needs to be she and Celeste.
Everything else about it is positive. The MC's are intelligent, likable, resilient, and endearing. A charming tale of growth and romance. It is one for the 'favorites' shelf.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2021I love stories about second chances, not only in love but in life overall. We tend to crucify those who fall in such way they have zero expectations to go back up and have another shot to make the right choices.
Zander and Nessa's story was all about that and more.
Zander is book boyfriend goals! I loved how sweet and patient he was with Nessa in every way. He never judged her or made her feel inferior. His feelings for Nessa were genuine. I loved how protective and defensive he was about her, it made me happy to see him enjoying Nessa's company and appreciating her even before he realized he was in love with her. His patience to build his relationship with her was what made me swoon the most! It was obvious that he learned from his mistakes and didn't want to make them again. It was heartwarming and encouraging to see him giving himself a chance and believing in himself and his dreams despite his past failures and guilt. I think his approach to his family's conflict was very mature, even though it was difficult for him. His path to redemption made all the struggle so worth it!
Nessa is such a sweet woman! She was strong, independent, smart and so loyal with a heart of gold. She was a woman with so much love to give and so many great things to share with the world. Her honesty and bright mind was exactly what Zander needed to overcome his demons. I loved how she allowed herself to believe in him despite knowing about his past. Her journey to self discovery was refreshing and filled with hope. The way she helped Zander to realize how worthy of love he was, made the moral of this story very meaningful.

Both characters were developed amazingly through the pages and their sweet dialogue and funny banter made me smile and swoon through the pages.
The depth and intensity of both characters flaws and strengths was intriguing and emotional. Their different journeys were combined perfectly and complemented each other. Both of them ended up helping one another to heal and discover things they didn't know about themselves. They grew and healed together.
The slow burn was written perfectly, it built up beautifully and was extremely satisfying. It was incredibly touching and swoon worthy.
This book is about the power of finding a person who would look at your mess and see a diamond hidden behind all the darkness. Someone who is not afraid of our demons and is willing to fight them with us.
I was so sad this story was over, but I will definitely be reading more of this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heartfelt
There's just something about this author's writing that gets me every time. Her characters are so genuine, their flaws so real, that I can't help but fall in love with them. This time around it was quirky, misunderstood Nessa and smooth-talking, yet lost Zander. On the surface they didn't make any sense together, but wow, did they ever light up the pages. Overall, a wonderful read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superbly and sensitively written... an utter delight!
This is a slow-burn romance about two sensitive and, in some ways damaged youngish adults. The damage is that caused by other people desperately trying to force them into boxes for their own understanding. Never let it be said that Nessa (who comes to realise she is autistic) is damaged, different, yes, but she has so much to give, so much positivity and empathy... that she can heal others, if only they could get past her difference and let her get closer. Zander does to the surprise of both of them and it means they gradually learn to support each other as they fall in love.
A very tender and sympathetically written tale of two people overcoming their past and beginning to soar like the angels. Heartwarming and uplifting, this is one of the best books I have read for a long time and thoroughly deserves all FIVE STARS, which I don't award very often. Thank you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing characters and a heartfelt story
All the wrong shelves is such a heartfelt novel, with wonderful characters that feel utterly real.
Nessa is a bit of a wallflower and a bookworm, both which I very much found myself in. She is caring and always willing to help someone in need, and often a bit harsh to judging herself.
Zander on the other hand, is all charm and wittiness, looking for redemption. It is not often that you read about male characters that are so honest about their own faults, and truly looking to improve themselves. It is as interesting as it is endearing.
Their relationship unfolds on the charming background of Copenhagen, and it’s one your really don’t want to miss.
