Wynter: A Funny Multiple Mates Romance (Silver Skates Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 673 ratings

In Silver Springs, everyone knows your name… and your business. I’m Zoe Wynter, the best magical maid in town, and rumor has it I’m about to go to jail.

I didn’t rob the little shops I’ve been hired to clean. But in a town filled with quirky residents who shift mid-conversation and cast wonky spells, finding the real burglar won’t be easy.

Luckily, a pair of magical silver skates send me a little help:

  • Xavi, a sweet, protective journalist who shifts into a block of ice but is oh so hot.
  • Leith, a famous hockey player who shifts into everyone he meets… and really knows how to use his stick.
  • And Ghost, a powerful mage detective who's already broken my heart once.

Three tempting men. My fated mates. I can tell they want me as much as I want them. They should be helping me clear my name, but they reject me, one by one. All I’ve got left is the paranormal town I call my home and the job I’ve worked so hard to get, but am I about to lose that, too?

Wynter is a standalone in the Silver Springs universe and comes complete with a happily-ever-after. Scroll up to read this quirky paranormal romance today

What's a girl to do when she finds herself mates and they all seem to betray her while she is getting framed for a series of robberies? Find out in this amusing story in a city of bizarre shape shifters. 7 food ice cube, anyone?

I loved so much about this book, a strong female character with lots of wacky magic! It could hilarious to the extreme and I'm not gonna lie I really started to hate the the lack of control and constant shifting, it got beyond annoying by the end. Also, shifting into animal-like creatures during sex, for sex ie yeti and troll, was gross and a little disturbing. But aside from that I really enjoyed the read.

Zoe Winter is a witch maid and works for Cleanly Den. Things start going wrong at her job as she finishes each place of business. People think there's a thief about. Meanwhile, she meets her three mates and boy is that a mess! An ice block, one of a kind, a chameleon that plays hockey and a reporter from the town newspaper. This story was wonky and quirky! A super hilarious and different novel. Mia Harlan is uniquely awesome!

From the reviews I thought this was gonna be hilarious but it was just okay cute funny. The story was okay and the writing is fine. What frustrated me the most was who the thief was.

    SPOILER:
It wasn’t anyone that we knew… which was disappointing cause most books or entertainment in a mystery theme is to try to guess who it is and that we have already met the character by the end. It’s just no fun if you don’t know the character. *sigh*

Silver Springs books are always fun to read. Wynter, the first book of the third season - Silver Skates, has not disappointed!

Zoelle Wynter loves her job as a maid at with the Cleanly Den. But lately, a string of misfortune has been following the Cleanly Den and may cost Zoe her job. While Zoe wants to save her job and clear the name of Cleanly Den and herself, she doesn't want to fall into old patterns of life.

When THE ex blows into town, Zoe knows that she's going hunting, if only to get Ghost ghosted from her life, again. Zoe doesn't anticipate the people she'll meet along the way who want to help her. She also isn't ready for the wonky magic that brings unexpected feelings to the surface and has Zoe evaluating what she really wants.

Mia Harlan has again launched the new season of Silver Springs with all kinds of laughter and brings the feel good romance to bear as well. Whether you have lived in Silver Springs for a while or just moved to town, you won't be disappointed to meet the new neighbors and connect with some old friends as well!

I’ve read several books within this world, mostly from the Jewels Cafe series. I haven’t finished that series yet and I haven’t started the Library series yet but reading this book didn’t confuse me at all with the extra characters. There were mentions of characters that I hadn’t known yet but the author still explained who they were within Silver Springs world. In other words, you don’t have to read the other books to still understand what is happening in this story.

This was a cute little mystery story with some steam. It was a rather quick read but I didn’t feel as if things were left unresolved or that the character development was lacking. I was rather surprised by who the thief turned out to be since the author did a good job by not making it obvious, at least if it was obvious it went completely over my head.

Oh my goodness I’m crying tears from laughing so hard. It does my heart good. I love this town and it’s inhabitants. What another great story. Please keep them coming. Each one is fresh yet brings in characters we already know. Nothing and no one is too horrendous. Love it

Is it possible for Mia's writing to continually get quirkier as the years go on? I wouldn't doubt the possibility and I am totes all in when it comes to more quirk, more unique and unexpected shifters, and more swoons than ever before!

Wynter was no exception, with all that and more, including a mystery AND so many cameos of people we've met before and new people that are going to be getting their stories soon. I loved Wynter and ALL of her mates. Definitely Mia's best story to date, which is saying a lot because her stories are always amazing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Guess who's back...... Back again......
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 19, 2021
Yes Silver springs is back for a 3rd series Silver Skates and it kicks off with the amazing Mia Harlan and Wynter!
If you are already familiar with Silver Springs you may have already come across Zoe, who works for Wes at the cleanly Den. There is a thief in Silver Springs and the targets seem to be customers of the Cleanly Den which is causing problems for business and could ultiMATEly (sorry) cost Zoe her job. And when Zoe puts on a pair of spelled skates her life suddenly gets more interesting!
I was so happy to be back in Silver Springs, reading these are always guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. This is a little more steamy than Mia's usual style but I would say it is her best book yet! I loved the cameo's from past and future characters, the type of shifters that Mia comes up with are totally crazy but she somehow makes it work. There are also some laugh out loud moments with lots of innuendo and mystery as Zoe tries to discover who the thief is.
If the rest of the books in the series are as good as this, this will be the best series yet and I am really looking forward to it. Bring it on !!

I love that this universe never takes itself seriously, it's so much fun to read! I especially enjoyed the idea of supernatural sports in this book, having a time limit on using powers during a game for the teams advantage was great. I'm looking forward to more in the Silver Skates series!

I have read a few from this collection already so decided to start from the beginning. This is well written and humourus with loveable characters and it explains what happens . I love how we see characters from Spell Library and Jewell’s cafe intermingled. A lot of drama and some dreamy steam, an awesome read
